Desmond Eastwood plays 'David' in Kate Dolan's film "CATCALLS" which will premiere at this year's Cork Film Festival on Saturday @ 4pm in The Everyman Theatre.

Desmond is currently performing in the lead role of 'James' in The Lyric Theatre's creative learning production "BLACKOUT" which will tour to more than 25 schools across Northern Ireland up to December 2nd inc.

Past theatre credits include 'Branwell Bronte' in Polly Teale’s ‘BRONTE’ (Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre & The Mill Theatre, Dundrum), 'David' in ‘REMEMBER TO BREATHE’ by Orla Murphy (Nominated for Fishamble Best New Play Award Tiger Fringe 2015), 'pHILIP' in Shakespeare's ‘THE Taming OF THE SHREW’ with Fortune’s Fool Productions, and 'O'Sullivan' in ‘INSIDE THE GPO’ with Fishamble Theatre Company directed by Jim Culleton. Des also played the Drunk Homeless Narrator in 'PROCLAMATION' a commedia dell'arte play written and directed by Ronan Dempsey.

Screen acting wise he plays 'Blip' opposite Jane McGrath in her Short Film "BLIP BLOP" which wrapped filming in Wicklow in October. It's produced by Brick by Stone Productions.

Screen credits also include the role of 'Alex' in Caoimhe Clancy's short film "CLODAGH" (in post production), 'Owen' in MD Neely's short film "UNSEEN", which premiered at this year's Galway Film Fleadh, the role of 'Sam Jenkins' in ‘IN ANOTHER LIFE’ directed by Danielle Leslie, the lead role of 'Brian Wilson' in the short ‘I AM BRIAN WILSON’ directed by Elizabeth Withstandley, 'William' in "GRACE’ a short film by Jack Walsh, 'Pearse' in ‘TOUT’ by Conal Tutin (Best Student Short Film RTS NI Awards), and the roles of 'Eric' in ‘DREAM HOUSE" and 'Nathan' in "PRIVILEGE’ which were both written and directed by Tom Hall.
