Pádraig has worked as an actor, on stage, television and on the cinema screen for over two decades. A native Dubliner, as well as a native Irish speaker, he began his career in the Project Arts Centre and in the city’s burgeoning theatre and film scene. His passion for the stage inspired him to move to London where he trained as an actor at The Drama Centre.

His more recent screen credits include the lead male role of ‘Brad’ in “AMERICA 2.0”, and the lead role of ‘Morton’ in the feature film ‘NORTHERN PARADIGM’ both directed by Mark Hall, “The Knight” in the award winning short “A DAY IN THE COUNTRY”, and ‘The Detective’ in ‘LATE SHIFT’ directed by Thomas Webber. Other screen credits are listed below.

Theatre wise Pádraig has been lucky enough to grace the stages of many of the great regional and national theatres in the UK and Ireland: including the Abbey Theatre, The National Theatre, in addition to taking roles in numerous award winning West End Productions, notably ‘LET THE RIGHT ONE IN’ directed by John Tiffany and Ivo Von Howe’s radical production of ‘A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE’ which transferred to Broadway and was described by The Times as ‘ the greatest play of the decade’.

Other notable stage credits include: ‘The Reverend Fortinbras’ in a 2019 UK National Tour of ‘THE HOUSE ON COLD HILL’ directed by Ian Talbot OBE, Ensemble in “THE PLOUGH AND THE STARS” at the National Theatre, ‘Jim Larkin’ in “THE NON STOP CONNOLLY SHOW” in The Finborough Theatre, ‘Sargent Murphy’ in “ANTIGONE IN NEW YORK” (Rag Factory), ‘Pedrosa’ in ‘MARIANA PINEDA’ (Arcola Theatre), ‘Crimmen’ in ‘THE QUARE FELLA’ (Tricycle Theatre) directed by Cathy Burke, the title role in ‘DRACULA’ (Hackney Empire), and ‘Jerry Devine’ in “JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK” (Abbey Theatre) directed by Ben Barnes.
